As the CEO of eGov Foundation, Viraj Tyagi leads the organisation with a deep passion for harnessing the synergy of Digital Public Goods, policies, and ecosystems to address complex societal challenges at scale and speed. With over seven years at the helm of eGov, Viraj has played a pivotal role in advancing impactful digital initiatives.
Before his tenure at eGov, Viraj had an extensive career as an entrepreneur and corporate leader, building large businesses in Europe and India. He co-founded NettPositive, one of India’s pioneering Big Data and Analytics companies, and Finnable, a fintech start-up. Prior to these ventures, he headed American Express’s credit card business in the UK. He is also an active investor in start-ups and serves as a mentor to aspiring entrepreneurs.
In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Viraj sits on the boards of several start-ups and companies. He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B), and a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-BHU).
